Flooding in Duvall

There are basically only four roads in and out of Duvall. Duvall is kind of built in the valley of a mountain so all the snow melt and rain rushes down into our valley. That along with the rivers in the valley means that there is a potential for flooding. We have one road that is flooded every year. The reason they don't raise the roads? Salmon. Or something important like that. Anyway. Twice in the last 3 years, Duvall has become it's own island. All four roads flooded. It happened again this January. Luckily we've all been home together so it hasn't been a huge deal. I didn't get any pictures on the first day of flooding when all the roads were closed, but here are a couple pictures from the day after.

This is the main road in and out of town. It wasn't flooded anymore when I took the picture, but it was still closed because of damage from the water. That's water all around it.

These pictures are taken from my neighborhood.

Here's a picture of the damage on the road. I didn't take this one. It was emailed to me from a neighbor.
