My first morning in New York, I slept in. After all, New York is 3 hours ahead of Seattle time. When I finally got up and moving, I decided to go visit Rockefeller Center which was only a few blocks from our hotel. Here are some pictures.
This is where they have the ice skating rink in the winter time. That day they had a couple of outdoor restaurants set up.
Next I decided to visit the Top of the Rock. That's the top of Rockefeller tower. It has a great over head view of the city.
On my way up to the top, I snapped this picture of Radio City Music Hall.
Here's a great overhead picture of Central Park. This is when I realized how big it really was. It makes the skyscrapers seem small.
The Empire State Building
If you look way off into the distance, you can see a very tiny little Statue of Liberty.
The Swarovski Star. I don't know why it's significant, but they had it displayed at the Top of the Rock, and I sure thought it was pretty.
